August 17 Cat Abuser in Pasir RisThis a tragic case of a mother cat and 2 kittens murdered by a cold-blooded MF via chemicals and glass bottle at block 253 Pasir Ris Street 21 on May 2. The reward has alleviated maximum up to S$6,000 in aid to prosecute the cat-killer. Please help to bring justice to these bloody MF who committed such inhumane act. The dead souls will appreciate your effort and hereby I thank you on behalf of them in advance. Speak English, if you want recognition.Well done to the Singapore women table-tennis team for securing a silver medal for the past 48 years. A glorious moment for Singapore indeed. However, there has been many critics about Singapore's victory was hollow due to the influx of foreign talent in sport aspect. I disagree to a certain extent as majority of us were originated from China, just that we are already well-established in Singapore for more than 3 generations to evade the fate of labelling as "immigrants". On the other hand, I don't deny that these Singapore women table-tennis team are not genuine Singaporeans, not because of their immigrant status but it's their effort in speaking our country's first language, English. If you want your fellow Singaporeans to recognise your achievement and success, please speaking English for goodness sake. It's time to forgo your mainland identity and take on the new identity. Learn to embrace and participate our speak good English campaign, take Tao Li for instance, she speaks excellent English and that's where I acknowledge her a true Singapore representative. Perhaps Singapore Sport Council should include English lesson in their training curriculum for our foreign athletes. Singapore ParkourDoes Parkour sounds familiar to you? Well, if not do check out this alternative undergound sports originated from France or to be specific from Paris; the city of romance.
If you think the above Razor video is impressive I suggest you hold your comments till you watch Banlieue 13, you probably think that it's much better than Yamakasi. Below is a portion of the exciting trailer extracted from Banlieue 13. By the way, Parkour is not pronounced as 'Par-Kor', should be 'Par-Kur'. Do it the French way and respect the founder. Just like 'Wa-Sa-Bi' instead of 'Wa-Sa-Be' which most Singaporeans (unsure about the rest) always pronounce the latter one and it's wrong! Better make some correction before it's too late.
Perhaps I can acheive IPPT gold awards if I were to practise Le Parkour as well. August 10 World-class citizen begins with courtesyAs you can see from the social experiment, we can conclude that being a world-class citizen is ain't no easy task. Most of the time it's not that Singaporeans (or mankind) are apathy, concluding from a reductionist perspective, but very often we are confronted by the group pressure or shyness as explained by the psychologist. So c'mon Singaporeans....breakaway from your conservative shyness and take initiative! Don't just wait for campaign to educate or remind you, you are simply wasting tax-payers' resources. People won't giggle at you in attempt to give your seat away if you were turned down, but people will criticize you for being heartless for unwilling to give up your seat to the needy ones. So why wait? Be civilize, be courtesy and be a world-class citizen today!
By the way, I can feel the great warmness from the SMRT courtesy ambassador; the Malay lady wearing a pair of white gloves. Well done, mina! Maintain that standard and smile for Singapore!
